An Autumnal Equinox Community Grief Gathering

As we enter the Shifting of Seasons it feels like the perfect time to have a Community Grief Ritual.  As the days get shorter, and the darkness appears. The leaves begin to change, and the great let go begins and thhe Earth & Animals prepare for the transition into shorter days and longer nights.  This is a time of contemplation and for going within.  It is also a time where nostalgia and hard memories can begin to present themselves.  

Grief was never meant to be traversed and carried in isolation. 

Let's gather in community to bear witness and be witnessed in a safe and sacred way.  The days of loneliness in our grieving can come to an end if we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and open with others who may also be suffering.  No loss is too small or too big, as every loss has its own power to open the doorway to our grief.  

This is not only a time to acknowledge, feel, and express our personal grief but also to give voice in a sacred way to the collective pain we have inherited from our ancestors and the collective grief of the world. 

• Are you feeling lonely or isolated in your Grief? 
• Are you deconstructing your faith, leaving a high demand religion or some sort of coercive control? 
• Would you like to be seen, heard, and supported in your grief? 
• Are the world events, horrific deaths, and suffering causing feelings of hopelessness and helplessness?
• Are you going through your own loss, no matter the size, and want to bring some lightness to the heavy load? 
• Are you willing to consent to bear witness to others' pain and allow others to bear witness to yours? 

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please join us Saturday afternoon, into the evening at Flow Acupuncture, Community Space in Downtown Salt Lake City  to take part in a beautiful Sacred Shamanic Sound Healing Grief Ritual.  

We will come together to honor the courage it takes to show up and explore the landscape of our grief. 

What you can expect: 

• We will gather together and create a safe and sacred container to consent to witness each other in our grief and to be witnessed. 
• You will have the opportunity to share what is on your heart with others in a safe way. No judgement, shame or advice! 
• A guided Somatic Journey to retrieve an Animal Spirit Ally  where your body will make the decision, to support you through the evening. 
• Guided Shamanic Journeys where you will get to explore your landscape of grief and all the wisdom it carries.  ( you do not need to have any Shamanic Journey Experience, I will safely guide and support you)  No Psychedelic Plant Medicine Involved! 
• A space to express what is on your heart to share with the circle. 
• A gentle sound and integration practice. 
• A Fire Ritual to honor the Equinox and to release what is ready to be transmuted. 

We are not coming together to fix each other or get rid of our pain. 

This is not a place for advice. 

This is a space to be with your Grief, and to do so with others in a safe community. 

Space is limited to help keep the integrity and safety of the container.

We are not coming together for therapy.  So please honestly check in with yourself.   If you are in the midst of a crisis, this may not be the appropriate event for you.
